The Office has an information and referral line that is available 24 hours a day, every day. Our senior service specialists will work with you during our office hours to provide resources and help resolve issues. Staff at bc211 will assist after hours.

Reframing Ageing: British Columbians’ Thoughts on Ageism
This report summarizes feedback received from a recent survey on ageism through five themes: social inclusion, employment, health care, the media, and safety, and includes the experiences shared by British Columbians. Ageism and ageist attitudes are noticed most often in the workplace, exclusion in social situations and many older people report feeling dismissed and invisible.

Monitoring Seniors Services 2024 Report
The Monitoring Seniors Services 2024 report reveals that B.C. seniors are enjoying longer, healthier lives, but increasing waitlists for vital supports and services raise serious concerns. The report tracks performance of a wide range of seniors’ services with year-over-year comparisons in the areas of health care, community supports, housing, transportation, income support and safety.
