OSA Information and Referral Line
The Office of the Seniors Advocate operates a toll-free information and referral phone line staffed by seniors’ services specialists who can help put seniors and family caregivers in touch with people, programs and services offered locally, provincially and federally depending on the nature of the issue.
The role of the information and referral line is to provide:
- Referrals to government and community services
- Guidance on navigating the health care system
- Advice on appropriate pathways to escalate concerns
- Responses to requests for information
- Tracking of callers’ concerns for further review by the Seniors Advocate to help inform future work
