Spring 2024 Council of Advisors Meeting

Date: May 7th

The OSA Council of Advisors came together in Richmond at the beginning of May to discuss seniors’ issues around the province. This meeting focused on seniors centres and the potential of age-friendly communities with a presentation from Anthony Kupferschmidt of the City of Vancouver, and a tour of the seniors centre at Minoru Centre for Active Living.

We also said goodbye to ten long-serving council members who have shared their expertise, experience and knowledge with the office for more than five years. Harwinder Sandhu, Parliamentary Secretary for Seniors joined us to honour our retiring council members and Minister Dix gave a virtual address.

We thank outgoing council members Barbara Mikeluc, Jerry Gosling, Bong-Hwan Kim, Royce Shook, Greg Howard, Leo Campeau, Sandy Zeznik, Dawn Hemingway, Margaret Sutton, and Geraldine Hinton for their dedication to the office.
